How it works

The comparison is constant-time and handles the $2a$ , $2b$ and $2y$ hash prefixes.
The cost factor (rounds) controls how long hashing takes: each extra round doubles the work. 12 rounds is a good default.
Everything runs locally with bcryptjs — your password never leaves the page.
