File Info & Metadata

Inspect any file: real type, size, timestamps, SHA hashes and embedded metadata such as photo EXIF or PDF info.

How it works

  • Cryptographic hashes (SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512) are computed with the browser's own WebCrypto engine, so you can verify a download against a published checksum.
  • Images get their pixel dimensions and EXIF metadata (camera, lens, date, GPS); PDFs get page count plus title, author and producer.
  • Audio and video files report their duration and, where the browser exposes it, the codec and dimensions.
  • Everything is read locally - the file is never uploaded anywhere.
