How it works

One line per language, for example en / or en-gb /uk/; the code goes in hreflang and the path is joined to your base URL.
Every page should list all of its alternates, including itself — and each target page should link back to the whole set.
The x-default line points at the page shown to visitors whose language matches no other entry.
