How it works
- Choose Lossless to rebuild the PDF structure, drop unused objects and strip web metadata — no visible quality change.
- The other levels re-render every page (150, 110 or 80 DPI) and rebuild the PDF with JPEG compression, which gives the biggest savings on scanned or image-heavy files. Selectable text is lost in those modes.
- Your file never leaves your device: everything runs in this tab with pdf.js and pdf-lib.
- Already-compressed PDFs with little image content may only shrink a few percent — that is normal.
