How it works

Numbers are drawn as real text on each page, so they are selectable and print sharply.
Formats: plain numbers, "Page N", "N / total" and "Page N of total". The total always counts every page in the document.
Use "First number" to continue numbering from an earlier document (for example start at 27), and skip the first page for cover pages.
Existing page content is never modified — the numbers are added on top.
