How it works

Detect tables groups text by vertical position and splits columns on wide gaps — works well on bank statements, invoices and price lists.
One row per line is a faithful dump of every text line, which is useful when the PDF has no real table structure.
Scanned PDFs have no text layer: run the OCR tool first, then convert.
Columns are detected from spacing, so verify the result — a badly aligned PDF may need manual tidying.
