How it works
- Browsers will not let a page read another site's redirect headers directly, so the trace runs through a free public header API.
- Each hop shows its status code and where it points, in order, ending with the final response.
- Chains longer than five hops are rare and usually a mistake — they slow crawlers down and dilute link equity.
